Fishing is Captain Bud’s passion. It’s in his blood… in his DNA.
He’s Finnish after all.
But it’s so much more than that. Bud wants to make sure that everyone onboard his Duluth fishing charter feels welcome and most importantly, safe. Not only will you spend a day on beautiful Lake Superior chasing monster fish, Bud will make sure that you have a great adventure with nothing to worry about! The priority is for you to have an amazing experience doing something few people get a chance to do: fish aboard a vessel out on the largest lake in the world.
Kids love fishing aboard the FinLander II and are always welcome. Bud loves to show kids the ropes and is excited to help them catch a whopper or learn how to tell one! The FinLander II has a saying that all kids must learn:
“Täällä… taimen, taimen, taimen!!!”
“Here… trout, trout, trout!”

FinLander 2
The FinLander II is a 2003 Pursuit 3000 Express. It is fully equipped and built for fishing on the Big Lake with a Furuno multi function display, radar, gps, autopilot, and fish locator as well as a marine radio/hailer. It sports four Traxtech electric down riggers, numerous rod holders, a Fish Hawk X-4D, and Taco marine outriggers for putting fish in the fish well.
